How to boost confidence in child

Confidence is the key of a child’s success. Thinking about a time when you were feeling really good about yourself. You probably found it much easier to get along with others and feel good about them. Try these tips and advice to raise confidence in your child:

1.          Believe Your Compliments
Encouragement is necessary for the better performance of all age group. Young kids need plenty of encouragement, whether they're learning, playing and busy in another activity. Praise your child if  He/She is doing something artistic.

2.         Don't Rescue your Child
It's important for young child to have the chance to play and take risks without feeling that their parents will criticize or correct them for doing something wrong.

3.         Let Them Make Decisions of their Own
When your child gets the opportunity to make choices from the starting age, they enjoy the benefit of gaining confidence in their own judgment. Of course, kids love to run the show, but having too much control can be irresistible; it's better to give your child two or three options to choose from.

4.        Focus on Positive aspect
If your child feels disappointment, help them to be more optimistic. Encourage them to look the situations of life in a new way and in a positive way.

6.        Nurture His Special Interests
Try to explore your child with new and wide variety of activities or ideas, and encourage them to find something which they love and enjoy. Kids who have a passion -- whether it is anything – have a feeling of expertise and are more likely to be perfect in their life.

7.       Promote Problem Solving
Kids are confident when they're able to negotiate getting what they want. A young child can learn how to solve problems them self. The key is to bite your tongue. If your child comes to you and complains that a kid took their toy at the playground, then what would be a good way to get it back?

8.       Look for Ways to Help Others
It's good for kids to have their own household responsibilities. Try to motivate your child to help others and encourage them with short stories of how helping others affect the life and increases confidence.

9.      Find Opportunities for them to Spend More Time with Adults
Kids like to hang out with their friends, but it's also important for them to be around with elders too. Spending time with older people or elders helps your child to understand maturely, forces her to talk to adults besides you, and gives her different ways of thinking.

10.   Imagine about the Future

If kids can imagine themselves doing something important or fulfilling when they grow up, they're bound to feel more confident. Talk to your child and motivate to choose the best in their life.

He was the first Prime Minister of Independent India and he is a true friend of the children. He loved them a lot and always kept them near to his heart. He was called as Chacha Nehru by the children.
He was very fond of children. He loved to spend quality time with children. To honour him, his birth anniversary was started celebrating as the Children’s Day. Chacha Nehru said that children are the future of the country so it is necessary to love and nurture them with care. Children’s day means to save the future of our young ones for bright future of the country. Family - Fun together Live together

“Family” is not just a word but it includes all the relationships. Yes, when we hear FAMILY we feel comfortable, relax. Family is a bond that holds all the members together with the love, happiness and comfort. This bond requires time, every second, minute that you spend with your loved ones, connects you with them. It is the family where we learn the value of love, understanding, beliefs, cultures, moral values, traditions and every little issue that concerns us and the society we live in.
Elders/ Grandparents can share their experiences and history with the kids. Talk about your interesting events and incidents with the kids. Children feel loved, protected and adored in their home. Children who are protected and nurtured by their parents hardly have a chance of developing problematical behavior and develop to be mature and honorable adults. Children should be instructed to support and love their family members and siblings and respect to elders. Children should also be taught to take responsibility and take initiatives in family gatherings, household chores etc.
As parents, it is your responsibility to give importance to family gatherings and events. When your child notices that you give more importance to family gatherings, your child will also learn to give importance to family. Children learn from parents or other family members how should respect each other. Remembering birthdays/anniversary or special events dates of each family member will make your children realize the importance of doing such small things for each other and it increases happiness and love among them.
Children should be aware with customs, traditions and rituals. It helps a child to understand the customs and traditions.
A Family is the First Learning centre for a child where a child learns basic moral values, etiquettes. Little Planet Preschool, Prashant vihar http://www.littleplanetpreschool.com/ is another learning centre for kid where your child loves to learn with happiness.

How to take care of your child in winters

When temperatures go down, children need extra attention to stay warm and healthy. As we spend more time inside the house through winters it also causes so many diseases like; cold, cough, fever, dry skin etc. Here are some tips to protect your child when the temperature goes down:

Make sure that your child put several layers of clothing and their head, neck, hands and foot are covered with woolen caps, gloves, scarves and socks. Dress young children in one more layer than an adult would wear.

Use moisturizer to protect from dry skin. It is important to protect your child’s sensitive skin from dry skin by using moisturizer in the winter.

In extreme cold weather restricts your child from outdoor play activities. Choose indoor games to keep the children busy rather than watching TV all day long.

Serve nutritious food which plays an important role in strengthening the immunity in our body. Green leafy vegetables, citrus fruits, milk, guavas, tomatoes, melons, papayas etc should be included in diet. Also offer dry fruits as they contained a lot of nutrition and provide instant energy.

Prevent nosebleeds. If your child suffers from winter nosebleeding, use a cold air humidifier in their room. Saline nose drops can help keep their nose moist.

Keep your child hydrated. Keep them hydrated by drinking warm drinks and serve hot soups like, tomato, spinach, vegetables soup etc. for extra appeal.

STORYTELLING IS A BEST ACTIVITY FOR DEVELOPING LEARNING SKILL IN CHILDREN

Children love stories. They enjoy the story time especially at night; they used to listen stories from their grandparents.  Stories create magical atmosphere. Stories teach us about life and its’ experiences. Story could be anything Fictitious or Non-Fictitious. Storytelling should be in a unique way for children to develop their understanding, respect, curiosity and appreciation for other cultures, and promote a positive attitude to people from different lands and religions.

Storytelling is very interactive. As a story progresses, children ask so many questions. Story creates curiosity in them. This is the best learning activity. A child's memory capacity is enhanced when they asked to remember something from a story. We should encourage children to create a small story with the characters they have been told about. This enhances imagination power and encourages the child’s active participation.

Storytelling helps to develop emotions and feelings in a child. It helps to increase verbal proficiency and also encourage the imagination power and creativity.

Between Stories and television, children show more involvement in story rather than watching TV. A storyteller’s should narrate the story in such a way that it should look real when a child is listening to story. He/ She can take the active participation in that story with enthusiasm.

Storytelling is very important for a child’s development. Don’t let your child miss this simple important part of childhood. Enjoy storytelling!
